It's like having a loving relative closer to home. They have provided my elderly mother with companionship in such a warm and considerate way, and help with her appointments when travel alone is challenging. I cannot recommend them enough.

Andrew D., Google review, June 2026

Helping Hands makes us feel as though anything is still possible, even though we are less able now. Our carer is a great cook, changes our bed, takes us out and gets our shopping. This service quite simply enables our parents to remain independent.

Celia D., Google review

We chose Helping Hands for my aunts because of the bespoke approach. They are less tired, less stressed, and have colour and smiles back on their faces, with the anticipation of little adventures to brighten up the week.

Rachel B., Google review

Lorna became part of the family in looking after my mother. We relied on her hugely as we lived in London and Mum was in Dorset. Lorna gave Mum the best possible life as she slipped into the world of dementia.

Jonathan C., Google review

When Mum's life threatened to become increasingly isolated, Lorna and her team were enormously imaginative and kind. When her health deteriorated they were really flexible and supportive, which was very reassuring as we do not live nearby.

Valerie J., Google review

Over the past 9 years I have got to know Lorna and her team. I have benefited from many areas of their support, from cooking meals, shopping trips and help with the garden, to allow me to stay as independent for as long as possible in my own home. Now I am in care I still have their support! I love the weekly visits to have a lovely catch up and also to take me out for trips to town, the park and shopping. I would definitely recommend Helping Hands to other people looking for a professional team of highly experienced ladies who offer true companionship and support, always delivered with a smile.

P.F., client of nine years, September 2026

After my husband moved into a care home I continued having Lorna to support me for three hours a week. This helped me adapt and get used to living alone. We did jobs together and she did some freezer cooking. Now another team member has taken the helm as the business expands. Helping Hands is a very appropriate name which describes what the team do. Without Helping Hands' care, love and support, and being a listening ear, I would find life very difficult. Thank you to you all.

J.A., client, September 2026

For anyone looking for care support for themselves or loved ones we cannot recommend the Helping Hands team enough.

They bring a wealth of experience, knowledge, compassion, commitment, positivity and humour.

They are 100% reliable, trustworthy and accommodating.

Being unable to care for ourselves whatever the reason can be a tough, lonely and at times a frightening journey. Helping Hands provides very loving, thoughtful, holding companionship to ease the way.
