About Helping Hands

We’re not a big care agency — we’re a small team who genuinely care. With no ticking boxes or rotating staff, our visits are consistent, relaxed, and centered entirely around the person we’re with.

Our mission

Everyone Deserves to Feel Seen, Heard, and Cared For

My name is Lorna, I have worked in the care sector for over 43 years in both Childcare and Health and Social care gaining many different qualifications and life skills along the way.

I am incredibly passionate about my business and work to high standards and expectations delivering a service to individual clients and their families on a weekly basis.

We’re Led by People, Not Protocols

Over the past eight years I have been running Helping Hands independently and am proud to say that I have supported some clients for over six years in their homes and care homes. As the business continued to grow, I expanded the team to include additional members who share the same passion for delivering high-quality companion care.

Today, our team includes Louise, Caron, Claire and Caroline, all of whom bring valuable experience from the care sector. Each member of the team is highly committed to providing thoughtful, reliable support and proudly represents Helping Hands in the community.

We’re a Small, Trusted Team — And That’s How We Like It
