Community Kindness Shines Helping Hands Fundraiser Raiser £770 for Alzheimers

A Heartfelt Thank You – £570 Raised (and Counting!) for Alzheimer’s Society

We’re thrilled to share that our recent fundraiser on 17th May, has raised an incredible £770—and the total is still rising!

Held on a beautiful spring day, the event brought together our community for a cause close to many hearts. We were delighted to welcome so many of Helping Hands’ clients, their families, and members of the local community who came along to show their support.

The day was filled with fun and laughter—there was face painting for the kids, a variety of craft stalls, a tombola, and a raffle packed with fantastic prizes. Not to mention the irresistible home baking, generously made and donated to help raise even more funds.

All proceeds are going directly to support the vital work of the Alzheimer’s Society, helping those affected by dementia and supporting ongoing research and care initiatives.

We were also proud to be supported by Crossroads Poundbury, whose involvement helped make the day such a great success.

To everyone who donated, attended, volunteered, or baked—thank you. Your generosity and spirit made this event truly special.
